This script takes shortened URLs, adjusts the HREF and creates a tooltip when you mouseover it. Optionally (with the replaceURL flag) you can also replace the actual text of the link. Give it a try here and let me know how it works for you.
NOTE: You must have Greasemonkey installed for it to work.
